Electronic Health Record (EHR) Data is messy.

  • an n-number of features

  • non-available data

  • irregular time series

However, understanding and analyzing this data is important:

  • delay of cancer immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) induced immune-related adverse events (irAEs) occur in up to 73% of patients, necessitating accurate phenotyping and early detection strategies

  • the data can allow for timely intervention and optimal patient management

  • priorly unseen diagnoses or patterns can be deduced by mass-data processing

Developed CARENET, a HIPAA-compliant AI-driven software platform that leverages electronic health record (EHR) data to support clinicians treating patients undergoing cancer immunotherapy. By combining natural language processing with real-time health analytics, CARENET identifies and flags potential immune-related adverse events (irAEs), enabling earlier interventions and more tailored treatment strategies—ultimately improving patient outcomes and reducing therapy disruptions.
